Customer Testimonial

My primary hesitations to visiting Japan had always included the travel logistics, the currency, my ability to communicate with others and understand signage related to directions, food, restrooms, etc..

Upon receiving the mail advertisement and exploring the details of the Japanet tour online, It appeared that these issues were all considered and I felt more confident about the Japanet itinerary especially with the "all inclusive" Japanet package. After my wife talked to ... Japanet's local office we were convinced that this was our best way to visit Japan.

In reality, from start to finish, travel in Japan with Japanet was as easy for us as traveling in Europe or any of the many other countries we have visited.

All of our Japanet guides were exceptionally friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. They were able to answer any and all questions. If there were any language issues they would use their phone translator app to clarify the translation. Every Japanet guide went far above and beyond what was expected.

The Viking Ocean Cruise experience was "Perfection". Our Japanet U.S.A. group was only about 8% of the total Japanet passengers however that made no difference whatsoever. I honestly believe that every single passenger felt special on that ship. The Viking crew and staff along with our Japanet guides saw that our every need was met and exceeded.

We were overwhelmed by the Japanese culture. Japan is an extremely clean country; the people are courteous and respectful of one another and their surroundings. The rest of the world could learn a lot from Japan. I am so glad that I was able to experience and learn from Japan.

- TMP and PNP, 2026 Journey Japan passengers

I have now traveled on two luxury cruises with Japanet Cruises through Western Japan. Throughout the cruises, the service was excellent and the accommodations were very comfortable for my husband and I. I especially enjoyed the morning Radio Taiso exercise classes to get the day rolling. Other highlights were the land excursions throughout the journey that consisted of rich cultural experiences and unique one-of-a kind dining experiences that were far-removed from the typical ‘tourists’ destinations. The visit to Japanet’s hometown of Nagasaki was truly special with a beautiful cultural performance, followed by a visit to Japanet’s own Nagasaki Stadium City, and a moving visit to Nagasaki Peace Park. Our English speaking guides for the excursions were knowledgeable and kind. On board, the spa on the Viking Yi-Dun was spectacular with a range of cold plunges to hot saunas and jacuzzis. The spa was a relaxing time after a full day of touring. The dining options on-board were plentiful and varied from casual to semi-formal. Also notable were the pre and post trips in Yokohama and Tokyo. Again, wonderful unique experiences and a chance to choose from a variety of sites such as Hakone, Kawagoe and a VIP tour through Tokyo. We especially enjoyed the Michelin star sushi restaurant that would be very difficult to make a reservation on our own. The all-inclusive aspect of Japanet cruises is important as well, in that, the guests do not have to pay extra for excursions or meals, with a few exceptions, throughout the visit. All-in-all, Japanet offers a uniquely cultural and wonderful high-end experience both on-board and on land for the American visitor to enjoy a special part of Japan that will ensure everlasting memories. I look forward to joining the All Japan Tour in 2026 during Cherry Blossom season!
