Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Hakone is known for its history as a bustling post town, and remains a popular resort and sightseeing destination. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Hakone's mountains and volcanic landscape, which includes active volcanoes such as Owakudani and hot spring areas.

- The Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen, one of Japan's bullet trains, connects Tokyo and Hakata at speeds up to 177 miles while providing numerous amenities that ensure a comfortable journey.

1. Owakudani: Feel the Breath of the Earth
Around 3,000 years ago, the Kamiyama peak in Hakone erupted in a volcanic explosion, creating the Owakudani crater.The area remains geologically active, with steam vents still releasing volcanic gases today.

2. Tempura dinner at Tenmasa, a long-established restaurant
At this restaurant, the chef prepares and fries the tempura before your eyes, making it a true delicacy to enjoy with all five senses.

3. Hakone Trip by Shinkansen
